Streetwise...

The Streetwise bus is a mobile youth club, providing a safe environment for young people to come and meet with friends.

The bus currently goes to Bartley Skate Park on a Friday evening, where many of the young people hang out.

The bus provides the unique opportunity for the Streetwise team to build relationships with the young people, and provide information, advice and guidance. The team aim to encourage them to achieve their potential and make a positive contribution towards the community.

As well as a weekly presence on the streets, Streetwise puts on other events throughout the year, including summer BBQs, and has a presence at the local Fun Day.

We aim to use the bus on more evenings and in different locations, once we have enough volunteers to make this happen. We would also like to be able to take the bus into school to use for drop-ins or small group work.
