Schools & Youth Work...
Our schools worker and youth worker currently work in 8 of the local schools in Totton.
Their work includes one to one support and drop-ins for children and young people facing emotional or behavioural difficulties, or who are at risk of being excluded from school..
We help children and young people to deal with issues such as
• Family Breakdown
• Bullying
• Friendship concerns
• Self-harm
• Drink & Drugs
• Anger Management
What we do…
• Give children & young people someone to talk to, and share their concerns with
• Improve children’s life chances and social skills
• Support children & young people through some of the most challenging stages of their education
• Help prevent problems in school before they become insurmountable
• Give the children & young people positive role models
“From my point of view it is great to see troubled youngsters become increasingly able to come to terms with difficulties in their lives and become confident, happier members of our school community. Your impact is clearly evident!” Headteacher
Most of the children and young people that we see are referred through the school, but we do accept referrals from other agencies, or parents, but we have to work in conjunction with the school to see the child or young person in that setting.
